CORA LEAGUE

  1. OVERVIEW
CORA supports the concept of Zero Tolerance. This section describes what is expected by all  Players, Team Staff and Off-Ice/Minor officials provided by the teams and their fans for any CORA League games.
  2. PRIVILEGE OF BEING IN CORA
Membership and participation in the CORA League is a privilege, not a right. All Players, Team Staff and Off-Ice/Minor Officials associated with the teams shall abide by the CORA By-Laws, CORA League Rules, Regulations & Policies, CORA Board rulings and any similar documents set forth by Ringette Canada and/or Ringette Alberta.
  3. RESPECTING INDIVIDUALS
All Players, Team Staff and Off-Ice/Minor Officials associated with the teams shall respect all players, minor officials, referees, fans, team staff, board volunteers, game volunteers and any representatives of CORA as well as any entity (Association, Society, Ringette Alberta, et cetera) that CORA represents or is represented by. Any inappropriate conduct, threats, harassment, or abuse (including the use of profanity) directed at such individuals or groups will not be tolerated and will be fined and penalized in accordance to the rules set out in CORA’s Rules, Regulations & Policies and Bylaws.
  4. RESPECTING THE GAME
All Players, Team Staff and Off-Ice/Minor Officials associated with the teams shall respect the game of Ringette and shall behave in a manner so as not to make a travesty of the game.
  5. OBNOXIOUS OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR
CORA will not tolerate loud, obscene, abusive, obnoxious or inappropriate behaviour by Team Staff, Players, Off-Ice/Minor Official or fans associated with the team by any means whether electronic, person to person, or through other means. Such behaviour will result in disciplinary action directed at offending party or parties of the Team.
  6. POTENTIAL ACTION
Should any conduct that is deemed contrary to the provision of this Code of Conduct and as defined by CORA League Rules, Regulations & Policies, require disciplinary action, then a Protest, Grievance or Appeal Form shall be completed and submitted for the review to the CORA Board. Potential action may include a reprimand or a fine to the offending team; or may result in suspension or expulsion from CORA League play.

As my team’s contact or Manager for our team registered in the CORA League, I have explained this policy to our team’s players & staff and by signing and dating this form, my team agrees to the terms and conditions as stated above.
